That's Hollywood

Hi Everyone
It's week two of our Art With No Boundaries  Anything Goes/ Performing Arts Challenge. And another beautiful image Anna May Wong from the Preforming Arts Digital Stamp Collection at CS Designs
Because she was a Hollywood movie star in the 1920's and 1930's.I decided to make an Art Deco cinema. I did this by making a diorama. For this I used two pieces of A4 black card, cut a square aperture in the front piece, scored and folded, glued the front and back at the sides, cut these at an angle to make them look Art Deco. I drew and cut out the curtains added the folds with Prisma pencils and glittered. Cut the scalloped seats and cinema letters with my silhouette. Then I coloured Anna May in pink Prisma pencils.I wanted her to really stand out. I then added silk flowers to represent cherry blossom in her hair. Please check out the other DT's designs and hopefully you will be inspired to come and join in at  Art With No Boundaries  Anything Goes/ Performing Arts Challenge. Thank you for stopping by. Cinemascopic

 Hi Everyone
Well it's Challenge time again at Art With No Boundaries . This fortnight as usual it's Anything Goes and the bonus round is Performing Arts. I was given this beautiful image to work with. Her name is Anna May Wong. She was a movie star from the 1920's and 1930's. At that time she was the first American Chinese actress in Hollywood. Anyway the digi image, filmstrip border and cinema phrase collection all come from    Preforming Arts Digital Stamp Collection at CS Designs
For this challenge I printed the film strip onto acetate stuck black card behind, recycled two ribbon spools and wrapped the film strip around  them. I cut the camera and the tops of the film reels with my trusty silhouette, printed two of the phrases out matted and layered them, coloured Anna May with Prisma pencils. Please check out the DT's designs they are stunning and join in at   Art With No Boundaries

Clockwork Pilé

Hi Everyone
Whilst I was away. I visited one of my favourite craft shops and found these delightful little boxes. Well I knew exactly what I was going to make with them. I have used a digi image from CS Designs Called Pilé, She is from The Express yourself series. I have also used the striped circular petal frame from  CS Designs
I covered the box and lid with papers from my stash. I cut out two Pilé images  and coloured, glittered and decoupaged her skirt with some net underneath (not very clear in the picture) I put a cocktail stick between the two images and then glued them together. Made a hole in the lid of the box and pushed her in place. I glued the frame to a large cog die cut and used these for the base, added more cog die cuts, flowers and gems from my stash and Voila a nice gift box
I will be entering this box into the following challenges

Steampunked SolitaireHeavymetal

 Hi Everyone
I am so excited. I have some fantastic news. I am delighted to be part of the talented Design Team at CS Designs. This is my first piece for Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent challenge . Anything Goes / Heavy Metal... I love the original artwork and sentiments that Chris creates. They are  truly beautiful  and  inspiring. The quality and detail are exceptional.
OK! I really enjoyed this challenge. The image is called SolitaireHeavyMetal. The first thing I did was to visit  my husbands shed. Where amongst other things like cobwebs and spiders ugh!!!! I found the nuts and washers which are now recycled onto this card. I also used brads a small clock hand and various dies from my crafty stash. I printed the nuts and bolts mini  background image onto acetate and placed it onto copper mirri board. Coloured all three Solitaire's with promarkers and prisma pencils, cut and decoupaged the larger image.
Thank you for dropping by and please come and  join in at http://doodleartifacts.blogspot.co.uk/ I will be entering this card into the following challenges
